Airshow China opens soon, and SOOHOW Instrument has confirmed its attendance. This time we are not simply bringing brochures — we are bringing the instruments themselves. A full range of testing equipment, with oil analysis as the main thread, will be on show at our stand, joined by a small selection of metal material analysis instruments. We look forward to meeting customers from aerospace, aircraft manufacturing, aviation maintenance and equipment upkeep face to face.
The equipment we are bringing follows the thread of oil analysis. Oil emission spectrometers, ferromagnetic index meters, ferrographs, particle counters and kinematic viscometers will all be on site, covering the usual testing areas — oil composition, wear particles, contamination level and oil physical-chemical properties.
A small number of metal material analysis instruments will be shown alongside. With several testing technologies side by side, visitors can compare for themselves which approach suits which sample and which working condition.

A line in a specification sheet is worth less than a test run you can watch. Bring your sample and you can follow the whole process on the spot — and when a particular operating condition raises questions, an engineer will be standing right there to answer them directly.
If you are working on laboratory equipment selection or an upgrade, or you are not certain whether a given testing approach fits your production line, talking it through in person is usually the most efficient route.
Aviation places heavy demands on material and equipment reliability, and analytical testing instruments have a clear place in meeting them.
A few common aviation testing applications:
1. Condition monitoring of lubricating and hydraulic oils — oil condition in aero engines, helicopter transmission systems and other critical equipment can be tracked through oil analysis, giving a reference point for oil changes and maintenance planning;
2. Wear and contamination monitoring — using particle counting, ferrography and similar methods, wear trends and contamination levels can be observed, turning judgement by experience into judgement by data;
3. Routine checks on key oil parameters — indicators such as the ferromagnetic index and kinematic viscosity determine whether an oil can stay in service; at the show we can talk through how often these should be checked under aviation operating conditions;
4. Quality control and laboratory testing capability — for aviation manufacturers, maintenance and support units and testing laboratories, we can discuss how to configure an oil analysis set-up and how to run it day to day.
One thing worth noting: every test method has its limits under different operating conditions. We would rather hear your requirements in person and work out together which instrument and which approach fits — rather than offering a general answer up front. We have also brought metal material composition analysis equipment, so if you need alloy grade verification, that is worth a look as well.
